When should I have AMD treatment?
The answer to this question is as soon as possible, but it’s important that I can see you and make a diagnosis as quickly as possible to establish what the problem is.
What technology do you use in glaucoma treatment?
We have the eye scan called the OCT which takes a three-dimensional view of the optic nerve head and the neuro-tissue contained in it. We use that to determine whether there’s any pathological or disease loss as a result of glaucoma from the optic nerve head.

The treatment of AMD starts out with making the diagnosis. Once I diagnose the patient, then I decide on the appropriate treatment and which technology to use to treat the AMD.
What is your safety record with AMD treatment?
The most serious risk that comes along with treating AMD is getting an infection. We take significant precautions to prevent this from happening which makes the treatment low risk.
What are your results like for AMD treatment?
Praveen Patel has a lot of experience in treating age-related macular degeneration. He has led research on AMD. When Praveen treats wet AMD, he is often able to stabilise and even improve the patient's vision.
