When will I see my VisionSafe Eye Check results?

LC:

When will I see my VisionSafe results: well, actually, whilst we do the consultation and perform the test, we talk to you about the test results. And we give you an indicative idea of whether there are any causes for concern, as a result of doing the testing.

But, we, also, will then thoroughly assess the test results after the consultation, and write up a report.

Praveen, if necessary, if indicated, then we can share the diagnostics with each other, to get further opinion from yourself.

PP:

Yes, absolutely right. And, you’ve asked me to look at scans and I’ve shared scans with you. Where there’s been a suspicion of glaucoma perhaps, in my case, I wanted your opinion, given your wealth of expertise and experience in that.

LC:

Yes.

PP:

And I… You know, I’ve seen patients where there may have been a suspicion of AMD, and I’m very happy to look at those scans, exclude age related macular degeneration or, indeed, other macular problems.

Sometimes it can take us a little time to analyse the scans and get back to you with a report, but part of that process is Lydia and I looking at the scans and being very specific about the diagnosis we give you, with our report.

I think the final thing to say is: of course, you’re welcome to share your report and your information with other stakeholders, other professionals, optometrists, and indeed your GP. And we can facilitate that if you give us your consent to do so.
